✨ WHAT’S GOOD? Growing Pains, Big Dreams & Why This Community Means Everything

Hey gurl hey ✨

If May taught us anything, it’s this:

growth is exciting… but growth also requires trust, patience, long nights, and a whole lot of faith. 💜

This past month has honestly felt a little surreal for us. We are scaling operations in ways we only dreamed about a few years ago. Our live sales are gaining traction, our community is growing, and we are learning more and more every single week about what you want to see from us as creators, curators, and business owners.

And the biggest thing? We’re listening.

We’re paying attention to what excites you. What inspires you. What helps your own creative process feel easier, more elevated, and more meaningful. Whether that’s curated ribbon selections, seasonal attachments, designer florals, tools, supplies, or simply helping another creator troubleshoot a project at 11:30 at night through a message thread — this community matters deeply to us.

More than you probably realize.

We love this industry. We love the people in it. And we couldn’t be prouder of what we’re building together.

One of the biggest things happening behind the scenes right now is our brand-new website and e-store — and folks… it is finally just around the corner. 👀

We have been working tirelessly to make sure this next step feels intentional. We didn’t want to rush it just to “have a website.” We wanted it to actually make sense for the people using it. A friendly user experience. Cleaner navigation. Better organization. A shopping experience that feels inspiring instead of overwhelming.

And while yes — we’ll absolutely carry some of the staples and favorites you may see elsewhere in the creative world — we also want our shop to feel distinctly us.

That means original concepts. Unexpected finds. Curated collections. Signature attachments and creations you can’t just grab anywhere else.

Pieces like our beloved Andy the Candy Corn Halloween attachment or our Snapt Gingerbread attachment — which has been a best seller for the last three years running — both of which recently received little glow-ups and improvements behind the scenes. ✨

What many people may not realize is this:

every single attachment, wreath, garland, centerpiece, or creative concept we release starts as an original idea.

Jimmy sketches them. Designs them. Conceptualizes every layer, shape, proportion, and detail from the ground up. These aren’t mass-produced ideas pulled from a catalog. They are original creations crafted with intention, quality standards, and a whole lot of heart.

Before anything ever receives a Whittick’s label, we ask ourselves: “Does this actually meet the standard we would want in our own homes?”

If the answer is no — it doesn’t move forward. That commitment to quality, originality, and intentionality is something we will never compromise on.

And speaking of growth… 👀

We’re also gearing up to officially announce the Whittick’s Design Collective Membership Group, our upcoming discount club, exclusive perks program, and some really exciting community-centered ideas we’ve been dreaming up for a long time now.

Truthfully? We’ve reached the point where we also desperately need some additional help behind the scenes. And honestly… that’s a blessing.

Because bringing in the right people means something bigger: it gives us back more time to focus on the creative heartbeat of this business. More Whittick’s Weekly events. More original designs. More live builds. More inspiration. Possibly even some in-person weekend events and experiences we’ve quietly been brainstorming for a while now. 👀

And then came May 25th — our very first Whatnot show.

To say we were overwhelmed by the support would honestly be an understatement.

The turnout, the encouragement, the energy, the kindness, the laughs, the orders, the conversations — all of it exceeded every expectation we had for a first-time event. It reminded us why we started doing this in the first place.

Not just to sell products. But to build connection. To create moments. To create community.

Years ago, when we were leading hospitality teams in the hotel world, we ingrained one philosophy into our staff over and over again: We wanted every guest to leave better than when they arrived.

Not just satisfied. Not just “taken care of.” Better.

More seen. More valued. More encouraged. More cared for.

And honestly? We realized recently that philosophy never left us.

It simply evolved.

Now, instead of checking guests into hotel suites, we’re welcoming people into creative spaces, live sales, classes, conversations, communities, and moments of inspiration. But the mission remains the same: Leave people better than you found them.

That applies to business. To creativity. To friendships. To community. To life.

We never want to be the reason someone feels smaller, discouraged, drained, or overlooked. There’s enough negativity and energy-draining behavior in this world already. If we ever become the kind of people who leave others worse than when we met them — then it’s time for us to step back, reflect, and reevaluate.

Because kindness matters. Encouragement matters. Creativity matters. Community matters.

And you matter. As we head into June with so many exciting things on the horizon, we just want to say this as clearly as we possibly can:

None of this happens without you.

Not one live sale. Not one order. Not one event. Not one dream.

Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for sticking around during the growing pains, the scaling process, the learning curves, the late nights, and the exciting chaos of building something meaningful from the ground up.

And trust us when we say…

there is so much more coming. 💜

Christmas Came Early… and Honestly? We’re Not Mad About It.

If you’ve been around us for more than five minutes, then you already know: we love a good seasonal moment. But this year? We’re leaning all the way in — earlier, bolder, more curated, and honestly… more elevated than ever before.

Over the last several weeks, we quietly started debuting pieces from some of our newest Christmas collections during our live sales — and the response has been wild in the absolute best way. Some of these bundles sold so quickly that we immediately knew we had tapped into something special for the 2026 holiday season.

This year’s overall vibe? ✨ Monochromatic palettes ✨ Elevated simplicity ✨ Traditional Christmas with a curated twist ✨ Soft textures, layered elegance, and statement details

And we are obsessed.

❄️ The Jack Frost Collection

We genuinely believe we were one of the first to start bringing this collection and aesthetic forward this season — and we have a feeling you’re going to be seeing a LOT more of it everywhere by the time Christmas rolls around.

The soft icy blues. The snowy monochromatic tones. The whimsical, magical winter feel.

It feels dreamy without feeling childish. Elegant without feeling stiff. There’s something so calming and luxe about the entire collection, and every ribbon, accent, and texture layers together beautifully.

We especially love how this collection gives “winter wonderland” energy without defaulting into the traditional red-and-green Christmas formula. It’s soft. It’s cozy. It’s enchanting. And honestly? It just feels frozen-cozy in the best possible way.

And yes… the details? Made us melt. ❄️✨

🍪 The Gingerbread Collection

Okay. This one has our whole heart.

The Gingerbread collection continues the monochromatic trend we’re seeing this year, but with playful pops of color layered throughout — candy canes, warm cookie tones, peppermint details, and those sweet whimsical touches that somehow feel nostalgic and fresh at the same time.

And the BEST part? This collection is going to pair perfectly with our Snapt Gingerbread Attachment 2.0 this season.

By the time you’re reading this, we’ll have already completed our very first round of pre-orders — which honestly tells us everything we needed to know about how excited everyone is for this release. We’ll be opening things up to the general public very soon, but around here we fully believe it’s better to be ahead of the game than trying to catch up in the middle of the holiday rush. 😅✨

The layered gingerbread ribbons, the soft neutrals, the cookie-inspired details… it all works together so effortlessly. This collection feels playful while still staying elevated and curated — which is exactly where we wanted to go with this year’s holiday direction.

🖤 The Black & Gold Nutcracker Collection

Now THIS collection? She’s dramatic. She’s elegant. She’s timeless.

The black-and-gold Christmas aesthetic absolutely stole the show during our recent three-part Christmas live sale. The moment we debuted the tree sign and coordinating ribbon? Y’all lost your minds — and honestly, we understood why immediately. 😅✨

There’s something about black and gold during the holidays that just feels rich, classic, and editorial all at once. The regal styling paired with the traditional nutcracker imagery creates such a sophisticated holiday feel without becoming overly complicated.

We’ve officially restocked several of the most-loved pieces already, and we’re currently waiting on additional elements from the full nutcracker collection that weren’t yet available during the original launch. We have also designed some of our own custom signs to offer to you - very soon. Trust us when we say: this collection is only getting better from here.

🎄 What We’re Loving This Season

More than anything, we’re finding ourselves pulled toward collections that feel intentional. Coordinated. Curated.

We’re loving: • monochromatic moments. • layered textures instead of overwhelming color overload. • traditional Christmas themes reimagined in softer, cleaner ways. • statement ribbons and focal pieces that do the heavy lifting. • elegant simplicity with whimsical storytelling woven throughout.

And honestly? We cannot WAIT to see what you all create with these collections.

Some of these bundles are absolutely destined to become full live build features in upcoming creation events — and we already have ideas swirling around in our heads for wreaths, swags, centerpieces, trees, garlands, and all kinds of holiday magic.

Christmas may still technically be months away… but around here? The seasonal inspiration has officially begun, and honestly - It never stops. 🎄✨

🖤 The Curated Creator

A space where we get to highlight the people behind the creativity — their stories, their journeys, and the heart behind what they create.  Each month we will feature someone from our community.

This month: Maria Dalmolin of The Wreath Meshine & Inventor of "The Wreath Lock"
This month: Maria Dalmolin of The Wreath Meshine & Inventor of "The Wreath Lock"

Meet Maria Dalmolin | The Wreath Meshine

📍 Manvel, Texas

Some creators make beautiful things. Some creators solve problems. And every once in a while, you meet someone who somehow manages to do both.

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our friend, customer, inventor, veteran, survivor, and creator extraordinaire — Maria Dalmolin of The Wreath Meshine.

Maria’s creative journey started long before wreath making ever entered the picture. Creativity has always been part of who she is, but in 2018 she discovered wreath making and quickly fell in love with the ability to create pieces that brought beauty, personality, and joy into people’s homes.

What started with mesh, ribbon, and creativity eventually evolved into something much bigger: invention.

After surviving neuroendocrine cancer in 2025, Maria found herself with a renewed sense of purpose — not just to create beautiful things, but to solve real problems for real people. That mission led to the creation of the Wreath Lock — an innovative product designed to protect wreaths and front-door décor from severe weather, accidental falls, and theft.

And if you know us, you know we don’t carry products lightly. We carry products we believe in.

This is one of them.

✨ The Creative Mind Behind The Maker

Maria describes herself as someone whose mind never really “shuts off” — and honestly? We love that energy.

She draws inspiration from everywhere: colors in nature, patterns in everyday life, unexpected combinations, and the details many people walk right past. Rather than following trends, Maria intentionally creates her own lane.

Her philosophy is simple:

Create things people actually need.

That mindset carries through everything she touches. Whether she’s designing custom wreaths or developing products that protect them, functionality and beauty are never competing priorities — they work together.

Because for Maria, creativity isn’t just about making something pretty.

It’s about making something meaningful.

🎀 A Few Favorite Things

💜 Favorite Ribbon Color: Lavender♟️ Favorite Ribbon Style: 2.5" polyester harlequin ribbon (which honestly checks out)🎵 Creative Soundtrack: Christian music, TV shows, or TikTok running in the background⭐ Favorite Part of Creating: Knowing something she made is making someone smile.

❤️ More Than A Creator

Maria’s creativity extends well beyond wreaths and invention.

She is an Air Force veteran, mother of a Marine Corps veteran, former federal employee of more than 20 years, and this year celebrates 15 years of marriage — all while continuing to grow a business and innovate within an industry she loves.

Faith and community are also deeply important to her. Maria actively supports her church, Christian radio ministries, charities that support veterans, and organizations that care for animals in need, including the Houston Humane Society.

And perhaps what stood out to us most?

Even after years of creating, she still gets excited every time she sells a wreath because she knows it’s going into someone’s home and bringing joy with it.

That kind of heart matters.

💡 Maria’s Advice For Creators

"Always follow through with your designs to the end, as they won't always look good in the beginning. Also remember that a craft takes time to master so don't be so quick to give up."

That’s not just good crafting advice.

That’s pretty good life advice too.

🤝 Community Over Competition

When we asked Maria which creator she would most love to collaborate with, she admitted there were simply too many amazing creators to choose from.

But then she added one name: Jimmy from Whittick’s Curated Goods.

First of all... excuse us while we ugly cry a little. 🥹 (how SWEET)

Second — challenge accepted. 😉

Creator communities thrive when people support one another, cheer each other on, and celebrate wins together. So consider this our official notice:

Stay tuned.

We may just have to make that collaboration happen.

👀 One More Thing...

Maria hinted that a new addition to the Wreath Lock product line is coming in June 2026, and if her track record tells us anything, creators are going to want to pay attention.

Maria — Firstly thank you for your service! But also thank you for creating with purpose, inventing with heart, serving your community, and reminding all of us that sometimes the best ideas come from people who simply refuse to stop building better things.

The Wreath Lock™ — One of the Smartest Inventions Our Industry Has Seen

Every once in a while, something comes along in this industry that makes you stop and immediately think:

“Okay… this is a no-brainer, why didn’t I think of this?”

That was exactly our reaction when we were introduced to the Wreath Lock™ — a patent-pending invention created by our friend, client, and fellow creative, Maria Dalmolin.

And honestly? It’s brilliant.

For years, creators in the wreathing world have spent countless hours designing custom wreaths and door décor pieces that are no longer just “cute seasonal decorations.” These are statement pieces. Handcrafted investments. Custom creations that often range anywhere from $150 to $300+ depending on size, florals, embellishments, mesh work, and detail.

But there has always been one frustrating issue nobody had really solved:

How do you actually protect them once they’re hanging on a door?

They need protection from:  Wind. Storms. Doors slamming. Accidental falls. Damage. And especially Theft!

And if you live somewhere like Texas? You already know one random windstorm can send a wreath flying into another zip code. 🌬️

The Wreath Lock™ changes that.

And what makes it even more impressive is how incredibly simple the system actually is.

At its core, the Wreath Lock™ consists of a specially designed, ultra-durable metal hook featuring a built-in locking channel that secures directly to the frame of your wreath. The entire process takes less than 60 seconds.

Seriously.

You simply slip the Wreath Lock™ around a crossbar on the wreath frame, place your wreath on the door, hang the hook over the top of the door, close it… and VOILA — that wreath is not going anywhere.

No more finding your wreath face-down in the flower bed after a storm. No more worrying about heavy winds. No more wondering if someone could simply walk off with your investment.

And if you’re thinking: “But what about those giant mesh-filled wreaths or heavily layered floral designs where you can barely even see the frame?”

Maria thought of that too.

Every Wreath Lock™ includes a specially designed adapter system created specifically for fuller, more dimensional wreaths where the frame may not be easily accessible. You simply slide the adapter onto the wreath frame, align the adapter feet with the locking channel, and presto — same secure result, same incredible protection. The adapter even works for grapevine wreaths & thicker frames. She also created a system for swags as well.

Honestly, the level of thought behind this product is what impressed us the most. This wasn’t designed by someone guessing what creators need. It was clearly designed by someone who understands the realities of the wreathing and décor world firsthand.

This is perfect for everything from everyday greenery and simple seasonal wreaths all the way to over-the-top Christmas masterpieces, luxury holiday swags, and those extra-large statement pieces we all love so much.

And honestly? Every wreath owner should probably have one.

Whether your décor style is subtle and classic or full-on maximalist holiday magic, the Wreath Lock™ adds peace of mind while keeping your wreath secure, protected, and exactly where it belongs.

It’s even brilliant for interior doors too — meaning your favorite wreaths and swags inside the home can stay securely in place without constant adjusting or slipping every time a door opens and closes.

At Whittick’s Curated Goods, we are incredibly honored that Maria has allowed us to carry and offer the Wreath Lock™ to our customers and community. We fully support this invention, wholeheartedly believe in its value, and genuinely feel it is one of the smartest and most practical innovations our industry has seen in a very long time.

And truthfully? We believe this one-of-a-kind, patent-pending device is going to become an industry standard.

In fact, moving forward, every single custom wreath order we complete will include a Wreath Lock™ as part of the customer experience.

Why?

Because it simply makes sense.

When someone is investing in a beautiful handcrafted wreath, protecting that investment should be part of the package. And from a creator standpoint, adding a Wreath Lock™ into the overall design cost is incredibly easy — and incredibly smart.

Not only does it protect the wreath…it elevates the entire customer experience.

Your clients notice things like this. They remember things like this. And they absolutely tell their friends and family about things like this.

And honestly? Even if a customer already has one from a previous wreath purchase with us, we are still going to continue including them. Why? Because maybe this one gets gifted to a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member. The more people that discover and experience the Wreath Lock™, the better.

That kind of organic word-of-mouth is exactly how genuinely smart products grow.

We genuinely encourage wreath creators everywhere to consider making the Wreath Lock™ part of their process and presentation as well. For custom door wreaths and swags, this product just works.

And for customers living in windy areas? It can literally save them money in the long run by protecting their décor from damage and loss.

At the end of the day, this is one of those products that feels so smart and so practical, it really should just become part of the wreath package experience moving forward.

Period.

We are incredibly excited to share that the Wreath Lock™ is now available during all of our live sales and will continue to be part of our curated offerings for the foreseeable future. Once our e-store launches next month, it will also be available there — in addition to directly through Wreathlock.com

The best ideas are usually the ones that make people stop and immediately recognize their value — not because they are flashy or overcomplicated, but because they solve a real problem in such a smart, thoughtful, and practical way. Maria Dalmolin did exactly that with the Wreath Lock™.

It is innovative, one-of-a-kind, and genuinely deserving of the attention it is receiving throughout the wreathing community. We are incredibly proud to support her invention, share it with our customers, and help introduce it to even more creators and wreath lovers in the months and years ahead.

🖤 THE LAST WORD

Let’s talk about timelines for a minute.

Recently, we’ve had other creators — some who consider themselves mentors and influencers — tell us that doing Halloween and Christmas releases already is “too early” or that we’re somehow rushing creators into seasons before they should be creating for them.

Respectfully? We disagree.

Here’s the thing: creativity doesn’t run on a calendar.

If it’s May 26th and your brain is screaming Christmas magic, create Christmas magic. If it’s Easter weekend and you suddenly want to make something spooky, grab the black mesh and skeleton ribbon and make the thing.

Because for some of us — ourselves included — ideas don’t arrive in an organized queue.

Our brains are constantly moving. We have notebooks full of ideas, screenshots saved everywhere, voice notes, mockups, half-finished concepts, and honestly? Sometimes we have to do a complete brain dump just to keep from feeling creatively overwhelmed. If we waited until the “correct” season to think about every idea that popped into our heads, we’d spend more time trying to remember the idea than actually creating it.

And here’s another important piece:

Many of you asked for Halloween. Many of you asked for Christmas.

We listen.

Because one of our priorities has always been listening to our customers, receiving feedback, and creating experiences that people are genuinely excited about — not creating so many rules, timelines, and guidelines that the fun gets sucked right out of the room.

At the end of the day, we’re here for you.

Our customers don’t work for us.

We’re not handing out assignments, seasonal homework, or a list of rules about when you’re allowed to be excited about something.

Honestly? That sounds miserable.

Crafting, creating, decorating, and building a business should still have room for joy.

If you want Halloween in May? Great.

If you want Christmas in June? Also great.

If you want to skip straight to spring florals in October because your brain said so? We support that too.

We want to create spaces where inspiration feels exciting — not restricted.

Christmas, especially, makes up a huge portion of business in the home décor and seasonal décor world. For many creators, makers, and small business owners — it isn’t just one season. It’s a significant portion of the year’s revenue, planning, sourcing, and production.

Because here’s the reality:

You don’t source ribbon, order supplies, design products, market collections, take photos, create content, launch products, and decorate homes all in December.

Someone hanging a Christmas wreath usually isn’t putting it up for one day.

They’re hanging it for weeks — sometimes months.

So yes, we have a general timeline. We plan ahead. We source ahead. We create ahead. And sometimes we create way ahead.

And that’s okay.

One of the boldest things people do — often without realizing it — is assume their process should be everyone else’s process.

We’re not here for that.

We are not here to tell you what season to work on, what style you should create, when you should launch, or how your creative process is supposed to look. We’re here to provide support, supplies, inspiration, and unique experiences you can’t find just anywhere else.

Because this? This is your ship.

And whether crafting is your hobby, your therapy, your side hustle, or your full-time income — you get to steer it.

Now sure — feedback, mentorship, and advice absolutely matter. Growth requires being open. If you’re feeling lost and ask someone for advice about timelines or launch schedules, try it. Test it. See if it works for you.

But there’s a big difference between mentorship and unsolicited criticism.

There’s a big difference between guidance and shame.

Comments like, “That’s ridiculous,” or “I can’t believe you’re rushing people,” simply aren’t the kind of energy we’re welcoming into this space.

Not every opinion deserves a seat at your table.

Please don’t let someone else’s short-sighted comments become the reason you doubt yourself, shrink your ideas, delay your launch, or second guess what excites you.

Create when inspiration strikes.

Launch when you’re ready.

Decorate for Christmas in June if it makes your heart happy.

March to your own beat.

Because the people changing the game rarely got there by following someone else’s timeline. ✨
